January Travel to Honduras and Guatemala

In January 2011 we will once again offer trips to Honduras and Guatemala. The dates aren’t firm but we plan to leave for Honduras around January 7th for 10 days followed by 10 days in Guatemala. You can join us for the Honduras part, the Guatemalan part or both. We plan to visit coffee farmers, visit families, give out our school scholarships, visit other projects and do some other sightseeing. The trip will be limited to 10 people. Disaster in Central America

Guatemala has been hit with a volcanic eruption, torrential rains and an earthquake. The heavy rains have also severely affected Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico. > read more

20th Annual Meeting a success!

Farmer to Farmer had a great annual meeting on March 13th, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Zac Barnes worker/owner member of Just Local Food in Eau Claire, WI, was our guest speaker. Zac spoke about how JLF got started, how a worker owner cooperative functions and how they operate today. It is the only food cooperative in Eau Claire and business is so good that the store moved to a larger storefront this past year. They are F2F’s biggest seller of roasted coffee! Zac showed some photos and talked about his experiences traveling to Honduras and Guatemala with Farmer to Farmer in January. > read more

Ecuador, Honduras and Guatemala!!!

Ecuador November, 21 – 29, 2009
Spend Thanksgiving with Craig and Lucy in Ecuador. Craig and Lucy will meet you at the airport and take you to their high altitude rural Peace Corp site. There you will see the projects they have been working on for the past 2 years, help build goat stables and visiting local Kichwa families. Included in the trip will be excursions to hike or ride bikes at Chimborazo mountain, and a day of sightseeing in Quito. > read more
