Travel to Guatemala January 2017 with Farmer to Farmer

Farmer to Farmer Trips to Guatemala
January 19-29, 2017

Tavel with a small group visiting places far off the tourist trail.

Farmer to Farmer’s 9th trip to Guatemala will be led by Jody Slocum. The 10 day trip will start in Antigua, the UNESCO world heritage city, seeing the town, the market, and other places of interest. From there we will  travel up north to the Huehuetenango area to visit the Mam Maya members of the coffee cooperative where our Farmer to Farmer coffee is grown. We will visit farms and spend time getting to know the people that grow our coffee, specifically the women coffee farmers.

We will then travel to beautiful Lake Atitlan where our time will be spent visiting the Tzu’tujil Maya families of Farmer to Farmer. We will be giving out school scholarships to the students, visit some families, and other places of interest in and around Santiago Atitlan. This is a small group trip that will be tailored to individual interests within the group. Limited to 10 people.
