20th Annual Meeting a success!
Farmer to Farmer had a great annual meeting on March 13th, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Zac Barnes worker/owner member of Just Local Food in Eau Claire, WI, was our guest speaker. Zac spoke about how JLF got started, how a worker owner cooperative functions and how they operate today. It is the only food cooperative in Eau Claire and business is so good that the store moved to a larger storefront this past year. They are F2F’s biggest seller of roasted coffee! Zac showed some photos and talked about his experiences traveling to Honduras and Guatemala with Farmer to Farmer in January. Both were wonderful trips full of meaningful experiences and fun. There will be trips to both Honduras and Guatemala again next January 2011.
We elected a new Board, and said goodbye to Board members Steve Hearth and Erin Altemus. They will both be missed. New to the Board this year is Nick Hearth. We have lots of projects and ideas for this year and welcome your involvement and help.
