Big Changes With Little Farmer To Farmer

Summer is often a busy swirl of events, travel, and friends. The team at Farmer To Farmer has been busy for many months working on projects that are coming to fruition during this bustling summer.

Drum roll please! The first big change is a new coffee bag and refreshed design. Farmer To Farmer works in partnership with our coffee farmer friends in Honduras. We need to be able to represent their hard work as well as our messaging around nonprofit solidarity. And what better way than to present this delicious coffee in a package that does begs you to grab it off a store shelf.

We worked with a local graphic designer, and moved our bag packaging to a company in Wisconsin. Look for these new bags on our partner retail shelves, and expect new bagged coffee to be delivered to you starting with orders after July 1st.

Another update is that Farmer To Farmer is currently working exclusively with Honduran coffee farmers. Which meant our roaster partners at Coffeewomple worked diligently to match our old roast profiles to use Honduran beans in the French and Medium roasts. After dedicated coffee drinkers participated in a survey, we found that many couldn’t tell a difference and a few thought the new roast profiles were better.

Oh wait, there is more!

The last major news is that Farmer To Farmer now has a brick-and-mortar community space in the great city of Menomonie, WI. We are renting a space from the Raw Deal. This space will be utilized to store our green coffee beans and potentially work on offering educational events and focusing on partnerships with other organizations, businesses, and people. This move holds a lot of potential to help elevate our vision and work as a nonprofit in this community. Having a home base for this 30-year-old nonprofit feels like finally coming home to prop our feet up by the fire. This feels right. This feels like home.

Visit our new Community Space page to learn more and stay up to date.
